Canopy Lodge No. 290 is involved in the community by:
- Doing service projects.
- Putting on family activities.
- Participating in the laying of cornerstones.
- Participating in Fourth of July parades.
- Sponsoring annual concerts at the Amana Community Theater.
The charitable goals of the lodge include:
- Sponsoring scholarships for Clear Creek Amana High School seniors intending to pursue a college education.
- Supporting the Russell and Ann Gerdin American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Iowa City.
- Hope Lodge offers a home away from home for those fighting cancer by providing supportive, no-cost, non-medical accommodations during cancer treatment for adult cancer patients and caregivers.
